Appoloniah Kimani, APRN

Appoloniah Kimani is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She received masters in nursing from Maryville University and her bachelor’s in nursing the University of Saint Mary, Leavenworth. She has worked in direct patient care for over 10 years. Areas of practice included: Medical/surgical, Urology, Gynecology, Surgical oncology, Neurosurgery, Home health as well as long term care settings.  Her quest to pursue a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certificate stems from her desire to destigmatize mental illness. She believes that through education, the community can be empowered to shift their beliefs about mental health, therefore achieving optimal health.
