Cassandra Thompson, LMLP, LAC
Cassandra Thompson is a passionate educator-practitioner in the field of clinical psychology who has spent the last 11 years gathering experience across various settings. She divides her time between clinical practice, teaching college courses and treating those with sexual dysregulation disorders. In clinical practice, she utilizes various approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavior Therapy (DBT) and other evidence-based treatments with an emphasis on trauma, healthy boundaries, adaptive coping, emotion regulation skills, self-esteem, anxiety disorders and healthy communication. She enjoys working with adults, youth and younger children with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems, such as anxiety, stress, depression, addiction, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and relationship problems. She believes in a strengths based approach that is eclectic and guided by the individual needs of the client.
