Joseph R. Wilner, M.A., LCP
Joseph is a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist in the state of Kansas specializing in treatment for ADHD, anxiety, depressed mood, adolescent adjustment issues, and career planning. His education includes a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Saint Mary and a Masters in Liberal Arts with a Concentration in Management and Leadership from Baker University. He received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas. Joseph has over ten years of experience working with adolescents and families in community mental health centers, juvenile corrections, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and private practice.
Joseph utilizes a strengths-based approach incorporating principles from solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and positive psychotherapy. Joseph is an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) and has specific training in mindfulness, ARC framework, anger control training, Functional Family Therapy, and career assessment, and is currently pursing a graduate certificate from Mizzou as a Youth Development Specialist.
