Laura Thornton, LMAC, LCPC
Clinical Director, Sex Offender Treatment Team Laura Thornton is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Licensed Master’s Addiction Counselor. She has an undergraduate degree in K-12 Education and earned her Master Degree in Counseling from Webster University, with a certificate in Addiction Counseling. Ms. Thornton has been working in the mental health field since 1993. Her experience includes working in a collaborative, cognitive-behavioral approach with those challenged with addictive and co-addictive behavior, depression, and anxiety. Ms. Thornton has primary experience and passion for assisting individuals with boundary setting and decision making for increasing balance in life and fulfilling personal potential.
She has an interest and experience in working with problematic sexual behavior as well as chronic problematic internet behaviors in both individual and group settings. Ms. Thornton currently holds the position of Clinical Director in the Sex Offender Treatment Program. She is a clinical member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.
