Linda Lynch, LSCSW, LCSW, LCAC

Linda Lynch is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kansas and Missouri.

Linda‘s practice philosophy is that every person is living their best life until a precipitating event occurs and that “life” no longer works for them.  They may feel “stuck’, accept that there is a problem and are motivated to seek help. She can assist the client and their family members to make positive changes utilizing various treatment modalities (CBT, ACT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Family Mediation and trauma-focused Treatment).

When the past informs the present, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) can assist the client to reprocess intrusive thoughts/memories that continue to affect everyday life regarding relationships and unresolved issues.

“When the client has identified an area in their life that is causing distress and is committed to change that is a very brave endeavor.  The client is the expert regarding their own life and I am committed to assisting them in their journey toward positive change.”

Linda’s current area of focus is assisting clients who are undergoing major life “changes” regarding coming-of-age, empty nesters, end-of-life/role reversal, (care taking responsibilities), unresolved family of origin issues, and family mediation.  Another area of focus is assisting clients with stress-management/pain management utilizing EMDR/mindfulness to address physical illness, substance abuse and health concerns.

Age ranges  include 14-35 y/o, 50-75 y/o, Veterans;  providing support to families of the Geriatric population, providing support to families/friends whose lives are impacted by the actions/reactions of others who are active substance abusers or are in recovery.
